These courses incorporate her research-based methods intended to combat the harmful impact of a mobility visual impairment or blindness on development.

Credentials

Dr. Ambrose-Zaken is the foremost expert on O&M. She built the Hunter College CUNY O&M program in New York City where she prepared more than 100 O&M specialists for 25 years. Her research team has documented the extreme developmental delays in children with a mobility visual impairment or blindness (MVI/B) that are a known consequence from MVI/B walking without extended touch feedback. Their work has also show the Pediatric Belt Cane as the only walking solution for children with an MVI/B.
